lyrics

"I Can’t Breathe":

People turn sideways when they walk in the door
Of the new Mobile station by the old general store
Those goddamn kids ain't from around here
Sayin to his friend loud enough for all to hear

They do their best to smile and ignore
Holding their breath till they close the car door

We're all here just hoping for the best
But these times got me fearing I'ma die like the rest
And hates gonna try to break every bone
With ignorance throwing the heaviest stone

There's too many places where colors are bad
Scaring small minded fools and making them mad
And it's hard to do good and mind your own space
While they're flying flags for the aryan race

But despite all that's wrong
There's good people too
Shaking their heads
Wondering what they can do

We're all here just hoping for the best
But these times got me feeling I'ma die like the rest
And hates gonna try to break every bone
With ignorance throwing the heaviest stone

Politicians have gone mad, and the country's on a tilt
If the virus doesn't get ya then some crooked cops will
And the President gives you every reason to hate
Just hoping we make the biggest mistake

But it's times like we're in to stand and be strong
Shine our lights in the darkness and bring on the dawn
And there ain't no limit if we come together as one
'Cause the air that you breathe is for everyone
